Hunter Western Hornets wish to provide an update to all our members in relation to future Hornets junior events for the 2020-21 junior representative season.
After careful consideration and lengthy discussions, as well as factoring in the current public health orders, Hornets wish to make the following announcements.
For the 2020-21 junior representative season, Hunter Western Hornets will be splitting the Peter Wilson Memorial Championships (PWMC) into two separate events.
The first event will be referred to as PWMC Minis – with this event being exclusively for Boys and Girls U8-U10 teams.
Hornets can confirm that the PWMC Minis event will take place on Sunday 13 December 2020 at the Central Coast Regional Sporting Complex in Tuggerah.
The PWMC Minis event will be a non-competitive event, which will be run similar to a gala day, no finals series, no club championship, no official match scoring.
The focus of PWMC Minis will be to give all mini representative teams the opportunity to engage in and enjoy touch football after a lengthy period away from rep touch.
Detailed event information about the PWMC Minis event will be advertised tomorrow (Thursday 19 November) across our social media platforms, as well as emailed to affiliates.
The second event will be referred to as PWMC Juniors – with this event being exclusively for Boys and Girls U12-U18 teams.
Further information about the PWMC Juniors event will be distributed in the coming weeks.
Please note there will be no Central Coast Junior Championships in 2020 – with this event now replaced by the PWMC Minis event.
Hornets wishes to thank our affiliates and members for their patience as we work towards giving all our affiliate junior representative teams the opportunity to enjoy touch football within current public health orders.
