Mudcrabs quartet selected for NSW

Apr 11, 2025 | Representative, Senior Touch

Four Mudgee players have been selected to represent NSW in touch football’s State of Origin.

The biennial event will take place at Coffs Harbour from June 20-21.

Donning the sky blue of NSW will be Sally Harris (women’s 35s), Kimberley King (women’s 40s), Liz Channon (women’s 45s) and Paul Bryant (men’s 35s).

It is the first time the quartet will represent NSW.

Mudgee Touch’s coaching director Roy Prasad is an assistant coach for the NSW Mixed opens team.

This is the largest selection of Mudgee players for a NSW or Australian team touch football team.

NSW has a proud and illustrious history in the State of Origin series, having held the title since 2004. The Blues have consistently dominated the competition, showcasing unparalleled skill, heart, and determination year after year. As the reigning champions, NSW will look to extend their legacy and further solidify their dominance over Queensland on the biggest stage in Australian touch football.

NSW coaches and selectors finalised the squads after two years of hard work, dedication, and talent identification.
